CW Picks up Thomas Dekker's new show "Secret Circle"

Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare On Elm Street, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) will be starring in "Secret Circle", a new show just picked up by the CW network. Also starring in the show will be Britt Robertson. Kevin Williamson, co-creator of "The Vampire Diaries" and writer of "Scream 4", co-wrote it with Andrew Miller. It is based on the Allow books of the same name penned by L.J. Smith who also wrote "The Vampire Diaries". Alloy is the same publisher that handles the "Gossip Girl" book series. This is the sixth pilot CW has in its 2011 development roster. They have also picked up Sarah Michelle Gellar's (Cruel Intentions, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) pilot "Ringer" and Rachel Bilson's (Jumper) pilot "Hart Of Dixie". "Secret Circle" is about a witch who is part of a secret coven engaged in a battle between good and evil. The show will be a one hour drama series, the same format as Dekker's past TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles".
