All About Evil was excellent, a hybrid of horror and comedy. Natasha Lyonne was present and guest hosted the event. The movie was about a horror movie theater that Lyonne's character inherited. At first her mother tried to force her hand at selling the venue, which enraged Lyonne who wanted to keep the theater operational as a family legacy. So Lyonne murders her mother, belatedly realizing that the theater's security cameras caught the murder on videotape. She then hurries upstairs to where the movie projector is, as the theater's patrons begin to complain that the movie hasn't started yet. Accidentally, Lyonne presses the wrong buttons and the security video of the murder ends up being projected onto the big screen. The audience, not knowing that this is a video of a real murder, goes wild for what they think is a short film. Lyonne then devises a plan to reinvigorate business for the theater. She then begins a killing spree which she videotapes as she kills people. She murders patrons who unwittingly visit the theater at the wrong time, and also murders the local librarian. She even goes as far as to recruit two evil twins with a pathological criminal history played by Jade Ramsey and Nikita Ramsey, who are get released from jail with Lyonne's help. Thomas Dekker plays a patron of the theater who loves horror movies, and he begins to frequent the theater more often to see what he thinks are short films made by actual actors. Ticket sales improve dramatically and the theater begins to get significant press coverage as well. When Thomas brings a girl he knows from school to one of the films, the girl insults Deborah, who waits for a chance to get to the girl alone in the bathroom, and murders her on film. This is when the police get involved. The girl's parents blame Thomas because Thomas was the one last seen with their daughter. Then another girl from Thomas' school decides unwittingly to interview Lyonne, who takes her prisoner with the intent of later killing her. This is when Thomas gets suspicious because he knew his friend went to the theater to interview Lyonne and never returned. From this point forward it is clear that Thomas' character is the hero of the film. Thomas shows up with the police, but with no search warrant, they were powerless to get into the theater to investigate. An upper floor of the theater is where Lyonne has been hiding the bodies of her victims, and this is where Thomas' friend is being held captive. With Lyonne realizing that the authorities are closing in on her, she hatches her most evil plan yet... a plot to give free poisoned beverages to the entire audience on a night when the theater is packed with patrons. Thomas goes to the theater intending to warn everyone about the killings and tries to prevent the audience from drinking the poisoned beverages. To make matters more complicated, Thomas' mother shows up expecting to see a horror movie, in an attempt to try and understand why her son likes horror movies so much. She insists on entering the theater despite Thomas' warnings and when Thomas tries to tell the entire theater full of patrons that the drinks they got for free are actually poison meant to kill them all, some of them laugh at him and drink the beverages, which cause their faces to bleed and melt, and shortly after, vents from the ceiling begin to break and corpses begin to fall from above, too late for the victims who already drank the beverages, but in time for the vast majority of those in the theater to realize they had walked into a death trap. I don't want to give away the ending but Dekker does emerge the hero of the story, and he clears his name in the process. Overall, though the murder scenes do involve some blood and guts this is balanced out by a heavy dose of dark humor that makes the movie accessible not just to those who like horror but to a wider audience because of the comedic nature of the film.
